Easy to see why Romeo found Juliet’s so easily. It’s the only one in the whole street!

Jordan, a fascinating country.
Friendly people, great food, Petra, the Dead Sea, red desserts…
One of the great takeaways from our trip to Jordan in 2018 was the stairs.
Everywhere! And they are things never change!

3 years to the day since we farewelled Tom before he headed off to study and live in Berlin.
We were overdue for a catchup, so we’re back! Hi Tom!

A bit cooler than last time we were here. And fewer restaurants… must be COVID

They did a good job rebuilding after the war.

Ahh the Danube. Some famous cities straddle Europe’s second longest river, including Linz and Vienna in Austria.
A little warmer this time; we’ve never visited in Summer before so the change in the landscape is striking.
Having arrived the night before departure we had the evening at leisure, so we had time for some Sangria. Delicious!

The next morning, we were on our way. The river was just beautiful!

We docked beside a beautiful, huge old fig, which had some of the local area’s dry stone walls running to it. We found a stone that didn’t belong *

Finished the night with, of course, schnitzel. Perhaps not as good as previous, but still, it completed the holiday, back in Vienna.
And an ice cream 🙂

All in all, a lovely weekend away

Previous visits included Christmas Day where we had lunch at a hotel, and with the kids a couple of years ago.

Went back to Italy for the weekend.
Love Florence.

We decided to stay in France this weekend, and re-visited lovely Avignon.

2021 has begun in the same fashion that 2020 ended… Sydney has entered a new lockdown for some, masks have become compulsory indoors, and travel is, for the time being, off.
Can’t see overseas travel returning this year at all.
So, with that in mind, we’re doing an internal NSW travel experience.
We’ll walk a street that has a connection to a past overseas holiday each week.
This week we revisited Reims. There’s been a few changes since we last visited 😉
